– Daniel Cain Lamb, 34, of Delight, charged with breaking or entering and theft of property. His bond has been set at $30,000 and his first court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 31.

The two defendants are charged with a break-in and theft from a home in Murfreesboro. Several items, including Native American arrowheads and tools were taken in the break-in and are valued at approximately $1,200.

An investigation by Murfreesboro Police Chief Randy Lamb, Pike County Sheriff Charlie Caldwell, Chief Deputy David Shelby and Detective Glen Hankins resulted in some of the items being recovered from a vacant home in Delight frequented by Lamb and near his sister’s home.

Humphry told law officials Lamb was the perpetrator and that she had helped dispose of the stolen property. Lamb has denied any involvement and claimed he was set up by Justin Compton, whose home was where one of the stolen items was recovered. The item, a router table, had reportedly been placed at the Compton residence by Humphry. No charges have been filed against Compton in relation to the break-in.
