Cherry Thompson Flaherty, 79, of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in Nashville. She was born on June 29, 1936 in Nashville, the daughter of the late Claude Worley and Maudie (Kemp) Worley. Ms. Flaherty was a member of the Crosspoint Cowboy Church in Nashville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, William Harris Thompson; second husband, James Flaherty; two brothers, Claude Worley, Jr. and John Henry Worley; and one sister, Sara Louise Wagner. Survivors include, one son, Donald Thompson and wife, Brenda of Nashville; one daughter, Sue Cornwell and husband, Louis of Nashville; two step children, Lavon Flaherty and Nita Sue Epton; brother, William Lee Worley; sister, Betty Lou Hanney; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends mourn her passing. Graveside services will be on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Merrell Cemetery in the Belton Community with Brother Bryan Adair officiating under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
