Two men arraigned on drug charges

    police carMT. IDA – Two men arrested after a probation search were arraigned Tuesday, June 16 in circuit court.
    Michael Griffith, age 28 of Bonnerdale, was formally charged with four different charges involving drugs and firearms.
    He was charged with one count each of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a class Y felony; possession of a schedule II controlled substance – methamphetamine, a class D felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B felony; and possession of a firearm by certain persons, a class D felony.
    Shane Ethridge was appointed to represent Griffith and a pretrial date was set for August 4 with jury trial set for August 28. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
    Brandon Walden, age 21 of Glenwood, was formally arraigned on on charge of possession of a schedule II controlled substance – methamphetamine, a class D felony.
    Ethridge was also appointed to represent Walden with a pretrial date set for August 4 and a jury trial set for August 14. He is free on a $5,000 bond.
    In other court news, Brandon Davis, age 19 of Hot Springs, was arraigned for theft of property, a class D felony, in relation to an investigation into the theft of a 2001 Yamaha ATV from a residence in Caddo Gap.
    Ethridge was appointed to represent Davis with a pretrial date set for August 4 and a jury trial set for August 14.
