Mr. Leroy C. Bogan, Sr. age 83, a resident of Newhope, Arkansas died Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Hope, Arkansas. He was born October 21, 1931 in Hugo, Oklahoma. He was a prominent businessman, owner of Leroy’s Body Shop in Newhope, and a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church. Mr. Bogan was preceded in death by his parents, John Washington and Essie Mae Lacefield Bogan; and two daughters, Teresa Jackson and Kathy Bogan. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Don Bobo of Cabot; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Lee and Desiree Bogan of Newhope, Calvin Bogan of Nashville and Curtis Bogan of Atlanta, Texas; his former wives, Geneva Isaacs and Barbara Bogan, both of Newhope; two step-sons, Charles Clouse of Texarkana and David Clouse of Hooks, Texas; one sister, Ruby Gray of Mesquite, Texas; one brother, Wesley Bogan of Sulfur Springs, Texas; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Bogan will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Mt. Joy Baptist Church in Daisy, Arkansas with Raymond Dees officiating.
