scrapper starMALVERN – The Nashville Scrappers concluded their season in a game against the Hamburg Lions in the opening round of their regional tournament Friday afternoon.
The game began with the Lions jumping out to a definitive lead, posting two runs in the first inning and three more in the second.
The Scrappers’ one run came in the third as Chas Scott stole home on the third play of the inning, the only half that Nashville had more than four plays in.
Hamburg nailed the lid shut with another three runs in the fourth and two more in the bottom of the sixth to make the final score Hamburg 10-1.
