ULTA Beauty Opens In Texarkana

Attention, makeup addicts: as of Friday, April 10, 2015, an ULTA Beauty store has opened its doors at Central Mall in Texarkana, TX. Ulta is the largest beauty retailer in the nation, carrying a unique combination of over 20,000 cosmetics and salon styling tools, as well as fragrance, haircare, skincare, and bath & body products. According to the ULTA website, as of January 31, 2015, ULTA Beauty operates 774 retail stores across 47 states. Products are also distributed through its website, where one may additionally find tips, tutorials, and the latest beauty trends.

A current trend on the website is called “Ethereal Eyes: The Subtle Standout.”

Want enthralling eyes without all of the smoldering black? Go for the subtle intensity of an ethereal eye.

Create a soft, shimmery look with shadows in beautiful metallic hues of bronze, champagne or purple. The ethereal eye is easy to do, so don’t be afraid to give it a try.

For a bolder look that lasts even longer, layer cream shadow under powder shadow.

I’m quite fond of this tip myself, as I feel that the black, smoldering, smoky eyeshadows are too dark for me, hard to blend, and almost always result in “raccoon-eyes.” I prefer to work with the bronze, champagne, and nude colors, and the “ethereal eye” is actually my go-to eyeshadow look.
