NASHVILLE – The Howard County Fair Board met Tuesday evening at the Howard County Fairgrounds in Nashville.
Those who attended included president Don Fletcher, vice president Bill Bean, secretary Linda Kitchens, Deb Kreul, Mike Graves, Diane Gunter and Terrell Shephard. Those absent included Matt Smith, Justin Allen and Randy Thompson.
The board discussed the planned ‘Sheep and Goat Jackpot Show’ and decided on July 11 as the proposed date. Livestock judges are being recruited and prizes and awards for showmanship are being sought. Updates regarding the event will be made public at a later date.
There will be a livestock committee meeting April 23, and plans are already being made for the 2015 fair.
