NASHVILLE — The Graves Publishing Company family of newspapers will launch a new website April 1st, replacing the one that has served the company since 2011. Heather Judd, web editor for the four newspapers stated the following:

“When you wake up and log in to swarkansasnews.com to find out what is going on, it is NOT an April Fool’s joke but a wonderful new beginning to the future of the newspaper industry.”

Located at swarkansasnews.com, the site serves as a hub for the company’s four newspapers and includes news, sports, opinion, obituaries and more from southwest Arkansas. Judd added the following in regards to the website:

“I am so very excited about our new website. It is vibrant, user friendly and full of new things such as the ‘lifestyles page,’ which will include different stories from new sources and recipes, health and beauty secrets, and fashion.”

The new site will also feature a farm page similar to the one seen in the print edition, which Judd said will offer “new insight on all things agricultural and a column from our very own Mike Graves.” At the end, she finally added:

“Of course, you will still see your breaking news and obituaries and all community announcements. It has turned out to be incredible thanks to the effort from our staff and web designer, Michael Murphy. Please come see our new creation.”

Judd added that a promotion of all digital subscribers will receive one month of subscription to all four Graves Publishing e-edition newspapers for free.
