NASHVILLE – A local man was arrested Tuesday on allegations of fourth degree sexual assault.
According to Assistant Chief Amy Marion, city officers took 22 year old Tony Benson into custody as a result of an investigation that began Feb. 7, when authorities received a report of alleged sexual contact between the suspect and a 15 year old girl.
In a statement issued to local media on Wednesday, Morion said:
“The father of the 15 year old female stated that he caught the male in the bedroom closet in his underwear. The 15 year old female stated she had sexual intercourse with the male.”
Marion said Benson was already wanted for a parole violation and turned himself in to face both charges. He remains an inmate at Howard County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
