Howard Memorial Hospital has received the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) 75-Year Milestone Award, recognizing 75 years of valued membership and partnership with the national organization.
The award was presented by Vicki Dale, AHA Region 7 Regional Executive, at the Arkansas Hospital Association Annual Meeting on Oct. 15. Howard Memorial Hospital’s CEO, Stacy Harberson, accepted the award on behalf of the hospital. Also in attendance were HMH’s CNO Chris Stuard, Risk Management Director Beth Schooley and Administrative Director Sandy Webb.
The recognition marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s longstanding relationship with the AHA and reflects a shared commitment to advancing healthcare and supporting hospitals in the communities they serve.
“Seventy-five years represents an incredible legacy of service, dedication, and commitment to the health of our community,” said Harberson. “As a rural hospital, we understand firsthand the importance of collaboration and the value of strong partners and advocates who recognize the unique challenges facing rural healthcare. We are grateful for the AHA’s continued support and proud of this longstanding partnership.”
The American Hospital Association represents hospitals and health systems across the country and advocates for policies and resources that support healthcare providers and the patients and communities they serve. For rural hospitals such as Howard Memorial Hospital, collaboration and advocacy remain important to sustaining access to essential healthcare services.
While the 75-year milestone celebrates a longstanding partnership, it also provides an opportunity to recognize the people whose dedication makes the hospital’s work possible. Howard Memorial Hospital remains committed to its mission of “Improving the Health of the Communities We Serve” through quality care, service, and a continued focus on community needs.
“We are thankful for this recognition and, most importantly, for the employees, medical staff, and community members who have contributed to our hospital’s legacy,” Harberson added.
“Together, we will continue working to meet the healthcare needs of the people and families who depend on us.”
