The Howard County Historical Society’s 1934 Dodge firewagon was the center of attention during a ribbon-cutting Sunday, Oct. 4, at the society’s “Family Day.”
Area firemen and their families were among a large crowd during the event at the society’s fire station museum on West Sypert Street in Nashville.
In addition to the display of the restored firetruck, guests enjoyed hotdogs, homemade ice cream, a cornhole contest, a pumpkin painting contest and more.
The gleaming red truck has been restored in a step-by-step process since it was acquired in June of 2021.
Several local restoration and vintage automotive enthusiasts have participated in the project and were recognized by Freddie Horne at the beginning of the program.
