
David Neil Young, 57, of Nashville, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, in Texarkana, Texas. He was born June 26, 1969, in Little Rock, Ark., the son of Sharyn Ross Young and the late Jesse Earl Young.
David was a graduate of Nashville High School, Class of 1987. Music was an important part of his life. He played the French horn and spent six years in the Scrapper Band. He also spent four years as a member of the Arkansas Razorback Band. In 2009, David earned his Associate of Applied Science Information Technology degree from University of Arkansas Cossatot Community College.
He was a lifelong Razorback fan and carried enthusiasm with him throughout his life. Outside of music, he was an avid animal lover, enjoyed hiking, canoeing, and found enjoyment in time spent outdoors.
David is survived by his mother, Sharyn Young of Nashville; his son Adam Byers of Nashville; one brother Mark Young of North Little Rock; as well as a number of friends.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at Redmen Cemetery in De Queen with Dr. Glenn Lance officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
