Charlotte Diane Oliver was born April 2, 1947, to Ed and Mary Oliver of Mineral Springs, Ark.
She passed away on Sept. 15, 2026, in Augusta, Ga., and is now in her heavenly home reunited with the best parents that God could have given her. Diane was a special and happy daughter, sister and friend.
Although she faced developmental challenges, Duane was gifted in unexpected ways. She had a special spirit and a loving heart. Her talent for singing gave place to her being in the church choir and also a member of the high school glee club. Marjorie Copeland played an important role in her life. At school Diane was accepted, had many friends, and graduated in 1966.
An amazing Mineral Springs neighborhood gave her a true sense of belonging. Throughout the years the McAlisters, Bridgemans, Joneses, Smiths and Clarks welcomed Diane into not only their homes (without a knock), but most importantly their lives. Her neighbors loved and protected her fiercely. She became a part of their hearts.
The joy of living in a small town was clearly seen as all parts of Mineral Springs became Diane’s safe place. Walking to the library to ‘work’ for Fairy Lou Graves, her Mother’s sister friend, was a fun time for her. Until age 65 Diane was blessed to still be living with her Mother who passed away in 2012.
Diane is survived by two sisters, Linda Terwilliger (Bob) of Nashville and Debbie Welch (Larry) of Augusta, Ga.
