
Gerald Dayne Pinkerton, 88, of Nashville, Ark., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026. He was born Jan. 1, 1938, in Umpire, Ark., to the late George Pinkerton and Grace Sharp Pinkerton.
Gerald was a retired math teacher at area schools as well as a cattle and poultry farmer. Gerald had a talent for working with his hands to build and fix just about anything.
Gerald was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sherald Pinkerton, and sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Lindell Dalrymple.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Shirley Driggers Pinkerton; son, Alan Pinkerton; sister-in-law, Patricia Pinkerton; as well as nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Terry Dalrymple, Brent Pinkerton, Kenneth Driggers, Steve Driggers and Michael Driggers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. at Nashville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Kevin Sartin officiating.
