
Mrs. Ida Mae White Horn, age 88, a resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Sevier County Medical Center.
She was born to Ridgeway and Ida Mae Barbo White on December 14, 1937, in Kinder, Louisiana. She married Carrol Horn on October 14, 1967, in DeQuincy, Louisiana. They shared 48 wonderful years together until his death in 2015. She was a homemaker and worked at Fort Polk, Louisiana, before moving to De Queen. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of Colonial Wars, the Ancient and Honorable Society, the Descendants of the Mayflower Society, and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She and Carrol were members of the AKC Kennel Club, and she enjoyed showing her dogs. Ida also enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, shopping, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Carrol Horn.
Ida is survived by her special children, Debi Lee of De Queen, and Dena Tollett of Nashville, Arkansas; her special friends, Ernestine Watkins, Mary Ida Pearce, Greg and Maribeth Revels, all of De Queen, Tommie and Andra Ayers of Texarkana, Texas, and Pat of Dierks, Arkansas.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ida Horn will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 14, 2026, at Redmen Cemetery with Bro. Kenny Haney officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.
