Isaac Stewart, 89, died May 14, 2026.
He was born Jan. 8, 1937, in the Clow community, Hempstead County, the son of the late Andrew Stewart, Sr., and Ora Bell Whitmore Stewart.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. With a degree in agriculture, he worked with the Food and Drug Administration. He later became a teacher.
Survivors include: a sister, Velma Shaw Williamson of Little Rock; stepchildren Barbara Bishop of Manhattan, Kan., Nellie Williams of Hope, Thomas Jenkins of Nashville, and Steven Jenkins of McCaskill; also step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday at Hicks Funeral Home, Hope. Funeral services will be 2:30 Saturday at Hicks Memorial Chapel, 407 South Hazel, Hope. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Clow.
