Alvin Vaughn, 75, of Nashville died April 10, 2026.
He was born March 12, 1951, the son of the late R.C. Vaughn and Elsie Vaughn.
He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Devices and Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars.
After his military duty, he was a reserve officer in the Howard County Sheriff’s Department for 19 years, and he was the maintenance supervisor for the Arkansas Highway Department for more than 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta Green Vaughn, and his brother, Ralph Vaughn.
Survivors include: two daughters, Angelia Vaughn (John) of Little Rock, Natalie Vaughn of Nashville; a son, Alex Vaughn of Nashville; a brother, Roger (Stacey) Vaughn of Mesa, Ariz.; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Nashville Funeral Home on Friday, April 17, from 6-8 p.m. Graveside rites will be Saturday , April 18, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Camp Springs Cemetery near Columbus, Ark.
