Rebecca “Becky” Utley Jeter, 81, died March 26, 2026. She was born Feb. 13, 1945, in Hope, the daughter of the late Fleda Robins and Ernest Ray Utley.
She graduated from Nashville High School where she was a member of the basketball team and was a majorette in the marching band.
She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in English. After college Becky moved to Altheimer and began a fulfilling career teaching high school English. She was a member of Altheimer Methodist Church.
Survivors include: her husband of 60 years, Ronald Hardy Jeter; her son, Matthew Scott Jeter and wife Marcie; her daughter, Meredith Jeter Hagan and husband Rob Hagan; her brother, James Patrick Utley and wife Patty, her sister, Carol Utley Casey and husband Lewis; also grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 3 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1100 Central Avenue in Hot Springs.
