Randall James Hunter, age 64, a resident of Newhope, Ark., passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at his home.
He was born on July 25, 1960, in Nashville, Ark. He was a farmer and loved deer hunting, working in his garden, and taking care of his pets.
Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his parents, QD Hunter and Velron Murphy Hunter Young; one brother, Ricky Hunter; nephew, Chip Ward; grandparents, Roy and Virgie Parsons Hunter, James and Gracie Hughes Murphy.
Mr. Hunter is survived by: his brother and sister-in-law, Ronald “Red” and Rhonda Hunter of Newhope; three nieces, Casey Bissell and husband Dustin of Newhope, Erin Hunter and husband Stephen Sprick of De Queen, Tracy Stone of Gurdon, Ark.; one nephew, Todd Hunter of Hazen, Ark.; one great nephew, Levi Sprick; four great-nieces, Presley Sprick, Wyatt and Blair Bissell and Kaylie Stone.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Hunter will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Saline Cemetery in Athens, Ark., with Raymond Dees officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the funeral home in Dierks.
