There will be some changes coming in early March for some people served by Howard County’s rural trash pick up, according to Judge Brent Pinkerton.
Beginning with the week of March 3, pick up day will be moved from Thursday to Wednesday in the following areas: Dierks Lake Road, Thomas Lane, all roads in the Kolbtown area, Highway 70 West from Dierks to the Sevier County Line, Mountain Mist, North Walters Avenue (outside the city limits of Dierks), Old Highway 70 & Thirty Thousand Road.
Also, for all customers with a current Friday pick up in rural areas of Howard County, the current Friday routes will move to a weekly pick up day on Thursday, beginning the week of March 3.
These changes are being made because the Howard County Road and Sanitation crews will be transitioning to a four day work week schedule on March 3.
