Tammy Jean Tallant, age 59, a resident of Gillham, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at Sevier County Medical Center in De Queen, Ark.

Tammy was born in De Queen, Ark., on Oct. 24, 1965. She worked at Tyson Foods for 30 years and was a supervisor, worked nights in the deli at Pruett’s, and attended Gillham Baptist Church. She was a Nana and she loved her grandkids. She loved working on her farm. She loved fishing, and taking all the grandkids to the river. She loved cooking, she never turned anyone away. She saw good in everybody and did not judge. She read her bible every day with a cup of coffee before going to work.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Dale Tallant. 

She is survived by her parents, Betty and husband, Richard Driver of Mena; two daughters, Dana Tallant Flores of Gillham, Shana Tallant Smith and husband Brandon of Gillham; one brother, Leslie and Susan Tallant of De Queen; two sisters, Tara Saddler and husband Richard of Gillham, and Lea Ann Tallant of Gillham; 11 grandchildren, Brianna, Alixzander, Santana, Cayetano, Izryel, Leylani, Lexi, Riley, Shevy, Zane, and Bo; and one great-granddaughter due in a few weeks, Rustlynne Faye; eight nieces and nephews; lots of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and many friends.  

Funeral services for Tammy will be held at 11 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Bro. Chet Brake officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery in Winthrop, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at the funeral home in De Queen.
