
John Kenneth Pipkins, age 87 of Nashville, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, in Nashville. He was born on Sept. 6, 1937, in Billstown to the late John Olin Pipkins and Iva Ruby Lois Pipkins.
Mr. Pipkins was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He loved riding horses, roping and, in his younger years, racing dirt track cars. He was a logger by trade. He will be remembered as a man that loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of more than 55 years, Alice Hale Pipkins, and two siblings, Pete Pipkins and Willie Faye Crews.
Survivors include: his two sons, John Pipkins and his wife, Pam, and Michael Pipkins; two sisters, Carolyn Davis and Mayvis Crews; four grandchildren, Laura Pipkins, Skyler Redd and her husband, Kolton, Andrew Scott Pipkins and Brandon Allen; several great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 in the Latimer Funeral Chapel with Terry Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Billstown Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
