Mrs. Peggy Britt Moore, age 74, a resident of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at her home.
She was born May 2, 1950. She was an accounting specialist for 22 years for Weyerhaeuser, the Dierks City Treasurer for 8 years, and a member of the Walnut Church of Christ in Texarkana, Texas. She loved to travel and work in her garden. She devoted herself to taking care of her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Lafayette and Hazel Jessie (Smith) Britt; one brother, Kenneth Britt; one son, Kevin Helms and her best friends, Connie Dougan and Betty Grinage.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Moore of Texarkana, Texas; three sons, Keith Helms of Horatio, Ark., Kenny Helms and wife Becky, of Texarkana, Texas, and Eric Moore of Shreveport, La.; one daughter, Carrie Dee Moore of Texarkana, Texas; daughter-in-law, Kelly Helms of Dierks, Ark.; her grandchildren, Paige, Lauren, Kyra, Kaden, Kaylee, Issak, Trenton, Allie, Aiden and Klay; her great-grandchildren, Maddie and Ronan; one sister, Tommie Dean Mounts of Camden, Ark., one brother, Hershel Britt of Texarkana, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Jerry Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in the Dierks Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the funeral home in Dierks.
