Mildred Hill, 82, of Nashville died Nov. 19, 2024.
She was born Sept. 10, 1942, the daughter of the late Vandy Stovall, Sr., and Myrtle Hill Stovall in Lake Village, Ark.
At Nashville she was a member of First Baptist Church-Nashville, and served as president of the Usher Board. Later, she joined Williams Memorial Church of God in Christ in Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nathaniel Hughes and second husband, Charles Hill; three brothers; her children Fred Stovall, Mary Nnaji, Sarah Pryor, David Hughes and Bobby Hill.
Survivors include: a son, Gary Hughes of Nashville; daughters Brenda Thomas and Lakesha Hill both of Nashville; brothers Roosevelt Stovall of Gould Lloyd Huskey of Little Rock; sisters, Dorothy Smith of Mitchellville, Maple Hughes of Little Rock, Jo Anne Arrington and Mae Hawkins Coleman both of Pine Bluff; also great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Williams Memorial Church of God in Christ, preceded by visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Nashville. Arrangements by Hicks Funeral Home, Inc., of Hope.
