Mrs. Katherine Pauline (Jones) Kitchens, age 92, a resident of Dierks, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at her home.
She was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Langley, Ark. Pauline married Doyle Kitchens on Oct. 9, 1948. They built their own business, Kitchens Grocery, which they owned and operated for many years. Pauline and Doyle loved to travel, made many trips with friends, and took all their grandchildren to Branson. Pauline loved her family and could always be seen at a ball game supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William James and Opal Orrick Jones; her husband, Doyle Kitchens; and two daughters, Jeanette Smith and Carolyn Parker; granddaughter, Stacey Sirmon; great-grandson, Dakota Wickson; one brother, Billy Jones and one sister, Wanda Jones
Pauline is survived by: one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Lewis Needham of Lockesburg, Ark.; her grandchildren and their spouses, Misty and Jimmy Dean Janes of Lockesburg, Ark., Sandi and Billy Green of Nashville, Ark., Shane and Ianie Carter of Dierks, Ark., Lori and Mark Kuykendall of Sarepta, La., Jammie and Danel’e Hinsley of Malvern, Ark., Scott and Bonnie Hinsley of Bentonville, Ark., Scott and Wendy Parker of Nashville, Ark., Kelly Helms of Dierks, Ark., Denise Kersey of Newhope, Ark., Lesley and Jeremy Ty Simmons of Newhope, Ark., Jason and Amanda Needham of Lockesburg, Ark.; sisters, Edna Kizer of Dierks, Ark., Patricia Mullins of Kirby, Ark., sister-in-law, Sharon Jones of Hot Springs, Ark.; 32 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Kitchens will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at Fellowship Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at the funeral home in Dierks.
The family will be at Mrs. Kitchens’s home in Dierks.
