Virginia Rae Flaherty, 88 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Wentworth Place Nursing Home.
Virginia was born January 5, 1936, in Nashville, Arkansas. She retired from Arkansas Power and Light and Columbia County Library. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and loved working in her yard.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie Jackson Sullivan and Gladys (Tedford) Sullivan; husband Billy Hugh Flaherty; sons Van Hugh Flaherty and Danny Allen Flaherty; and her siblings, Mary Woodruff, Rebecca Sullivan, Berta Sue Spicer, Charlie Nell Dillinger, Jackie Stout, and Edwin Sullivan.
She is survived by her daughter Cathy Bryan and husband Danny of Magnolia; grandchildren, Lori Bryan of Denver, Van Hugh Flaherty Jr and wife Maria of Dallas; great grandchildren, Sophia Flaherty, Brody Flaherty, and Haley Flaherty; and siblings, Jimmy Don Sullivan, Charles Sullivan, Pam Caldwell, Billie Sisler, and Juanita Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family.
Cremation services were provided by Lewis Funeral Home. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
