Virgil Lloyd Turner, 79, of Ashdown died July 2, 2024.
He was born Dec. 7, 1944, the son of the late Thirissa McCoy Turner and Rev. Leon Turner, Sr.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Leon Jr. and Wilbur; sisters, Norvell, Jewelene, and Birdie Faye
Survivors include: his wife, Thelma Jean Vaughn Turner; a brother, Walter Earl Turner of Ashdown; a sister Laverne Turner Allen.
Visitation will be at Freeman Chapel Christian Methodist Church on July 12 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. July 13 at the church. Burial will follow at Rhodes Cemetery in Ashdown.
