James Lyle Clark, age 77, of Texarkana, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Texarkana. He was born Dec. 29, 1946, in Nashville, Ark., the son of the late James A. “Pete” and Dortha Dyer Clark.
Mr. Clark was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Texarkana. He was a veteran and served in two branches of service, the United States Navy and Coast Guard. During his career he was an officer for the Texarkana, Ark., Police and the Arkansas Highway Police. One of his favorite hobbies over the past years was spending time in his shop woodworking.
Survivors include: his wife Lucille “Dee” Clark of Texarkana, Ark.; one son William Clark and wife Amanda of Texarkana, Texas; three daughters, Jill O’Dell and husband Mike of Magnolia, Ark., Katie Happy and husband John of Prairie Grove, Ark., Reggie and Paul; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
