James Larry Gilbert, 79, of Lockesburg died Saturday, May 25, 2024 in a Hot Springs hospital.
He was born Dec. 15, 1944, in the Mt. Carmel Community to the late Robert Windell Gilbert and Marie Louise Eudy Gilbert.
He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and served in the US Army in the Vietnam era.
He was he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Richardson Gilbert, as well as three brothers, J.W., Levon and Dwayne Gilbert.
Survivors include: his two sons Scott (Tammy) Gilbert of Lockesburg and James (Crista) Gilbert of De Queen; two brothers, Ronnie Gilbert and Richard Gilbert; one sister, Missy Shepherd; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Thursday, May 30, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services were Friday, May 31, 2024, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church near Dierks with Bro. Calvin Parker officiating. Burial followed at Sunshine Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
