Willie Faye Crews, age 80, of Murfreesboro, Ark., passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Hot Springs. She was born on Oct. 30, 1943, in Billstown to the late John Olen Pipkins and Iva Ruby Loise Folsom.
She was active in the community in the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce, where she served on the Board of Directors as Vice President. She was also awarded the Lifetime Membership award from the organization. She was also awarded numerous awards from the Jaycettes. She was a 4-H leader and hosted several exchange students from Japan.
Faye was employed by the ‘Nashville News’ for 13 years. Later, she and her husband owned and operated Crews Specialty Printing Company in Murfreesboro for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Clifton Crews; her committed relationship, Dudley Crocker; one brother, Leon Pipkins; and a special brother-in-law, Danny Crews.
Survivors include: her siblings, Carolyn (Hal) Davis of Murfreesboro, Mayvis (James) Crews of Lawton, Okla., and Kenneth Pipkins of Nashville; a special brother-in-law David Mack Crews; a special niece Layla Keys; three special great-nieces Alyssa, Peyton and Chloe Keys, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Oak Grove Cemetery near Murfreesboro. Services are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Murfreesboro Rattler Band Booster fund in the care of First State Bank.
