Nashville High School senior Caleb Cook has been named to the 15th biannual edition of the John Philip Sousa National High School Honor Band.
The band showcases some of the highest achieving young musicians in the United States.
Cook, a tuba player, submitted an audition tape to the National Honor Band Committee and was selected based upon his playing.
He will attend Southern Arkansas University and study marine biology.
He also plans to continue playing the tuba in the SAU band.
Cook was offered a $16,000 SAU band scholarship as well as the Presidential Distinguished Scholarship.
