Obituary: Noah Eugene ‘Gene’ Moses

Noah Eugene “Gene” Moses, Sr, 87, passed away on March 28, 2024, in Smackover Arkansas. Gene was born on January 12, 1937, in Nashville Arkansas to Noah and Leona Lambert Moses.

Gene was a man of many talents who enjoyed his work. He spent many years working for Northwest Propane in Dallas Texas. He and his wife, Joyce Anne drove semi-trucks together for some years, and owned a motel in Dallas. He also owned a HVAC business, welded, raised cattle, and worked as a bus mechanic for the Blevins Arkansas school district, the position he held when he retired. After his wife Joyce retired from Blevins school district and from substitute teaching, they moved to El Dorado, Arkansas to be closer to family.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Noah and Leona Lambert Moses, a brother, Elvis Moses, two sisters, Bettie James and Linda Copeland, his son, Noah E. Moses, Jr, and a granddaughter, Holly De Vaney.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Anne Moses, whom he spent 67 years of his life with, a daughter, Deborah Boyd (Jack), Grandchildren Sariah De Vaney, Heather Bolinger, William De Vaney, Patrick De Vaney, Beth Stratton, Anne Moses, and Noah E.
