Michael Wayne Smith, 75, of Nashville, died Thursday, March 28, 2024, at his home.
He was born Feb. 13, 1949, in Refugio, Texas. He served in the US Army, in Vietnam, and owned his own trucking business for more than 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence D. and Ozie Irene Clowers Smith; brothers, Carlos (Sonny) Smith and Joe Smith; and sister, Jayne Lynn Smith.
Survivors include: his wife, Dottie Smith; sister, Bettye Rodgers, and brother, Jack Smith; two sons, Lee Smith, and Clay Smith; daughter, Laura Moore; stepdaughters, Heather Turner Grabin and Ashli Turner Walker; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Saline Church of Christ, near Delight with Roger Cox officiating. Burial followed in College Hill Cemetery in Murfreesboro, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2024, at the funeral home in De Queen.
