Linda Gail Hosey, age 80, of Mineral Springs, Ark., passed away on April 8, 2024, in Nashville. She was born in the Shiloh Community near Mineral Springs, on May 8, 1943, to the late Curtis Epton Nutt and Mabel Ava Sutton Nutt.

Linda married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy G. Hosey, on Dec. 9, 1961, at Shiloh Baptist Church near Mineral Springs. She served as song leader at both Shiloh Baptist Church and Central Baptist Church for many years. She loved music and was a strong, faithful Christian. She attended business school in Dallas, Texas, and worked at Howard Memorial Hospital for 42 years as the Director of Medical Records.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Nutt, Helen Floyd, and Wanda Griffin; her brother, Sonny Nutt and his wife Shirley; her daughter Leigh Ann Byars and her husband, Joe; two grandchildren, Micah and Emma Claire Byars; and one son-in-law, Tommy Jackson.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 62 years, Jimmy Hosey; three children, Kim Turbeville and her husband Billy of Ozan, Deana Clay and her husband Mark of Lockesburg and Jaimie Jackson of Mineral Springs; grandchildren Chase Turbeville and wife Brandy of Mineral Springs, Caitlin Kinney and husband Nathan of Horatio, Bethany Bever and husband Dillan of Camden, Katherine Clay Williams and her husband Devin of McKinney, Texas, Alex Jackson of Murfreesboro, Joshua Jackson and girlfriend Lexi Byers of Nashville, Shae, Tyson, Brooke and Elizabeth Clay, all of Lockesburg; nine great-grandchildren; a sister Tina Harrington of Little Rock; two brothers-in-law Howard Griffin of Springdale and John Floyd of Memphis, Tennessee; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
