Jimmy Leon Phillips, Sr., 89 of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, March 10, 2024. He was born Nov. 18, 1934, in Okay, Ark., the son of the late Herbert and Nova Dodson Phillips.
He was a public health inspector and was an Air Force veteran. He was an American Legion baseball coach for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Phillips.
Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Patricia Phillips; two sons, Jimmy Phillips, Jr. and wife Karen, and Billy Phillips and wife Nikki; a brother, H.L. Phillips; a sister, Sara Christensen; also grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 4:30-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Meeting Room 2, Texarkana, Texas.
