Carolyn Faye Rosson Clouse went home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 13, 2024. She passed peacefully at home with her daughter at her side.

Carolyn was born April 21, 1943, in Nashville, Ark., to Leonard Earnest Rosson and Elease Beatrice Jones Rosson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norm, of 24 years; her grandparents Earnest and Eunice Rosson and Ellis and Annie Jones, all of Nashville, Ark., and brother-in-law Jim Bunz of Lincoln, Neb.

Carolyn is survived by: her daughter, Kelly (Brad) Vandiver of Houston, Mo.; grandchildren, Mitchell Vandiver of Edmond, Okla., Adam (Willa) Vandiver of Houston, Mo., and Molly Vandiver of Chattanooga, Tenn.; her great-granddaughter, Kit Vandiver of Houston, Mo.; sisters Sue (Chuck) King of Bossier City, La.; Sandra Bunz of Lincoln, Neb.; nephews Greg King of Bossier City, La.; Brent Bunz of Lincoln, Neb.; and niece Lori (Brent) Haun of Lincoln, Neb.; and seven great-nieces and nephews.

Carolyn attended elementary, junior high, and high school in various places around the country as the family followed her daddy’s job. She was always thankful that the three sisters had each other during the many transitions. She graduated from McCallum High School in Austin, Texas, and later attended Newburn Vo-tech in Newburn, Tenn. There, she studied to be a secretary. After graduation she and Kelly settled in Conway, Ark., where they would live until the mid-1980’s. Carolyn worked her way up from secretary to Customer Service Manager Contract Division at Virco, Mfg. in Conway. At that time, she was the first woman in management for Virco including their Arkansas, California, and Mexico plants.

She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She always put her daughter first and worked very hard to provide a good life for them. Not long after Kelly graduated high school and moved away, Carolyn took the opportunity to transition into sales with Virco and leave the high-pressure job she had done for so many years. She relocated to Oklahoma and soon after that her parents relocated to live with her. She devoted over 20 years helping her mother care for her daddy as Parkinson’s Disease progressed. After her daddy passed away in 2000, Carolyn cared for her mother until her death in 2010.

In 1992, Carolyn married Norm Clouse and they were married until his death in 2017.  During their years together they were foster parents to her step great-grandson, Draven.  She was a devoted mother to Draven during his years with them and loved him dearly.

Carolyn was a giving, kindhearted, and a determined woman.  She loved her daughter and grandchildren so very much.  She unselfishly cared for her parents for many years and was a true example of living to serve.
