Marlon Benson, 68, of Nashville died Friday, Feb. 2, 2024.
He was born Oct. 10, 1955, in Nashville, the son of the late Fletcher and Addie Mae Briggs Benson.
He was a US Navy veteran, was a master electrician and was a minister.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ramona Ann Benson.
Survivors include: his wife of 41 years, Debora Grant Benson of Nashville; two sons, Marlon Montes Benson of Nashville and Colby Dion Benson of Portland, Ore.; three daughters, Shonda Benson of Nashville, Angela Benson (Corey) of Portland, Ore., Erica Marlene of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Michael Benson of Nashville, Charles Swell of Lancaster, Texas, and Wayne Thomas of Ottawa, Ohio; three sisters, Vickie Swift of Nashville, Tangya Benson of Duncanville, Texas, and Dorothy Thomas Berry of Ottawa, Ohio; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at New Light CME Church in Nashville.
