Brian Aylett with metal detector, Matthew Lomasewich, Timmy Beene and Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton have tried to find a time capsule buried 50 years ago marking the county’s centennial.
They were erroneously sent to the spot by the faulty memory of the newspaper reporter, who said he thought the capsule was buried on the courthouse lawn between the historical marker and the monument to war dead. Although a few small metallic pieces were found, Friday morning, there was no time capsule.
