Tim Lee Jackson, age 80, of Murfreesboro, Ark., passed away, Nov. 9, 2023, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

He was born Sept. 21, 1943, at home in Murfreesboro, Ark., the 3rd child and only son of the late Ola Lee Jackson and Annie Estelle “Tincie” Jackson.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman, who loved camping, hunting, and fishing. He had a natural ability to figure out how to do things, and was always eager to share his resourcefulness and expertise with all, especially younger family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved second wife, Teressa (d. 2014) and his first wife, Judy (d. 2023). Though this relationship wasn’t permanent, they did have three daughters together and remained friends until her death earlier this year. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Ann Jackson, Jean Jackson Parker, and Judy Jackson Stokes.

Survivors include: his three daughters, Teresa Jackson Miller and husband John, Tammy Jackson Cope and husband Scott, and Trina Jackson Holbrook; grandchildren Anna Combs Jones and husband Scott, Damien Cope and wife Tiffany, Brandyn Gortemiller and wife Cassondra, Sean Miller and fiancé Murrya Collier, Amanda Gortemiller Hohmann and husband Taylor, Abigail Cope Crow and husband Dustin; 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and three nephews who were like sons to him, Tommy Parker and wife Loretta, Neil Parker and wife Donna, and Ryan Stokes and wife Rebecca.

Tim also had a deep and rich love for the children and extended family from his second marriage. Surviving bonus children and grandchildren include Keith Fletcher and wife Laura, Michelle Lea, Steve Martin and wife Michelle, Don Martin and wife Scarlett; grandchildren Ryan Fletcher and wife Samantha, Matthew Martin and wife Sacha, Sara Martin Funderburk and husband Blaine, Emily Lea, Malorie Martin and fiancé Luke Melton, Ross Martin, Avery Martin; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday Nov. 17, 2023, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, at 2 p.m. with Henry Ward officiating and B.J. Mabery singing. Visitation with the family will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Tim’s life was twice impacted by Alzheimer’s Disease.
