Jimmie Neal Hill, 88 years of age, passed away Nov. 7, 2023.
Jim was born June 28, 1935 in Tollette, Ark., to the late Edward Hill and Marie Blackwood. He grew up in Nashville, Ark., with his mother Marie and stepfather, Mac Burkhart. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arlie and Ethel Blackwood.
Jim leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 64 years, Nina Adams Hill; two daughters, Kellie Tate (Craig), Karoline Graham; grandsons, Garth and Garrett McClure and Bailey Tate, granddaughters, Millie Graham and Avery Tate; sisters Judy Armstrong and Carolyn Prescott; aunt Ruby Morris; many loving brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Korea four years. He began his 31 year long career as an electrician advancing to assistant plant manager with Ideal Cement and settling his family in Saraland, Ala. At retirement he and Nina fulfilled their dream of returning to Arkansas and started the 2K Cattle Ranch. He was an avid reader, loved fishing, gardening, woodworking, and spending quality time with family and friends. His quick wit and sense of humor could be matched by no other. He was so very loved.
A memorial celebration of life will be held at Westmorland Cemetery Crossroad, Ark., at 11:00 a.m. on Dec. 2, 2023.
