Jim Edward Hamilton, 59, of Nashville, Ark.,, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, at his home. He was born on Dec. 9, 1963, the son of Edward Dale Hamilton and Shirley Hamilton Chalker.

Jim was a member of the Cross Point Cowboy Church. He began his career in the Quality Shoe Store on Main Street of Nashville. Later, he founded and operated Quality Termite and Pest Control. He married his high school sweetheart in 1985 and, in total, he and Susan had 44 years together. Jim served on the Nashville Fire Department for 32 years. In his spare time, he avidly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his aunt Gloria Snyder.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 38 years, Susan Baker Hamilton; his mother and step-father Shirley Chalker and husband Bennie; his daughter Shea Caldwell and husband Kurt; his son Trace Hamilton and wife Kailee; four grandchildren, Paisley Caldwell, Brielan Caldwell, Welden Caldwell and Rhett Hamilton; two step-brothers David Chalker and wife Christi and Brent Chalker and wife Heather; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023, at the Cross Point Cowboy Church near Nashville.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023, at the Cross Point Cowboy Church with Bro. Trace Hamilton and Bro. Don Jones officiating. Private family interment will be in Restland Memorial Park, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
