Dee Ellis Webb went to be with the Lord Aug. 30, 2023. He was born June 20, 1940, in Ozan, Ark., to CD and Hazel Hill Webb. He attended Mineral Springs school where he played baseball and football and graduated in 1958. He attended Ouachita Baptist University on a football scholarship and graduated Jan. 1963. He was commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. After advanced training at Ft. Benning, Ga., he was assigned to the 8th Regiment 1st Cavalry where the unit was guarding the DMZ in Korea. He was awarded the US Meritorious Service Medal.

Before departing Korea, he was awarded a second Meritorious Service Medal. He returned to the United States, July 1963, and was assigned to Ft. Polk, La., as an S1, he was discharged Jan. 1966.

The next month Feb. 14th, he went to work for AP&L also known today as Entergy Arkansas where he worked for 36 years. While working for Entergy he served as president of many civic clubs and was heavily involved in the community. He retired Feb. 2002.

Survivors include: his wife of 38 years, Susan Baker Webb; 5 children,

Chris (Janet) of Little Rock, Cathy (Mike) Schuler of Little Rock, Jason (Rachel) Sanders of Marshall, Kelli (Tinnie) of Green Forest, James (Amanda) of Conway; 11 grandchildren, Casey LeAnn (Joe) Johnson, Allison Paige (Justin) Wallace, Blake (Madison) Webb, Hayden Webb, Clay Schuler, Emily Schuler, Garrett Sanders, Grayson Sanders, Thomas Sanders, Caroline Sanders, and Luke Sanders; two great-grandchildren, Bryson Wallace and Anna Leigh Johnson.

Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, with funeral service following at 2 p.m. at Family Life Bible Church in Conway. Neal Winstead will be officiating. Entombment with military honors will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers: James Sanders, Kelli Sanders, Blake Webb, Hayden Webb, Clay Schuler, and Emily Schuler. Honorary pallbearers: Allison Wallace, Casey Johnson, Garrett Sanders, and Grayson Sanders.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Family Life Bible Church P.O. Box 10658 Conway, AR 72034.
