Remembering His Life & Legacy.

Terry Devon Hendrix, born on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1968, in Nashville, Ark., passed away at his home on Monday, April 3, 2023, at the age of 54.

He was the son of the late Wilbert Hendrix and Joyce Stewart. Terry joined Tabernacle C.M.E. Church in Schaal, Ark., at an early age and graduated from Lincoln High School in Washington, Ark., with the Class of 1986.

Terry was employed by Williams Tavern in Washington, Ark., before moving to Tyson Foods. He was a kind-hearted and helpful person who would willingly lend a hand to anyone in need. Terry was a good man, loved spending time with his family and friends, and for the last 10 years, he was the caretaker for his mother, Joyce Stewart-Lacy. Terry will forever be remembered in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Lacy Jr.; sister, Felicia Lacy; grandparents, Wilbert Lacy Sr., John & Corine Stewart, Charlene & Major Moore Sr., and Obedia Hendrix.

Terry leaves behind the following loved ones to cherish his memories: his mother, Joyce Stewart-Lacy of Mineral Springs, Ark.; two brothers, Marcus (Kimberly) Lacy of Mineral Springs, Ark., Corey (Shefflans) Lacy of Coon Rapids, Minn.; one sister, Loretta (Demeon) Washington of Dallas, Texas; special uncles, Roy (Jerline) Davis of Mineral Springs, Ark., John E. Stewart Sr. of Los Angeles, Calif., Rev. Elroy (Doris) Stewart, Eric (Roshunda) Stewart of Mineral Springs, Ark., Allen (Penny) Stewart of Piqua, Ohio, Tony (Kimberly) Stewart of Gainesville, Va.; special aunts, Theresa (Winston) Wilson of Charlotte, N.C., Mary Scroggins of Washington, Ark.; special brother, Clarence “Peanut” Williams of Washington, Ark., and a host of other uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Visitation Service – Friday, April 14, 2023, at 3-5 p.m. at M&H Memorial Chapel, 411 S. Walnut St., Hope, Ark.; Homegoing Service – Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Floyd T. Jeans C.M.E. Church in Tollette. Pastor Elroy Stewart, Eulogist; Rev. Bernice Muldrow, Officiant. Interment at Macedonia Cemetery, Washington, Ark.
