Judy LaJuan Chandler, 83, of Nashville, Ark., passed away, Sunday, April 2, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 12, 1940, in King, Ark., to the late Jesse James Walker and Nellie Monroe Walker. LaJuan was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafts. She was such a talented seamstress that she would draft her own patterns. She also was an excellent cook. She provided childcare services in her home for others as well as her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, all three of her sisters, and a half-brother, as well as her husband, Wade Chandler in 2012.

Her survivors include: six children, Rick and wife Anna Chandler of Cedar Hill, Texas, Sheila and husband Jim Pinson of Nashville, Shelly and husband Alan Matheny of Bryant, Ark., Russ Chandler of Nashville, Ron Chandler of Texarkana, and Sherry and husband Tommy Allen of Nashville; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, as well as other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Nashville Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Old Center Church near Horatio, Ark., with Jim Pinson officiating. Interment will follow in Old Center Cemetery.
