Eldon “Butch” Hobbs, age 77, of Dierks, Ark., passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at Dierks Health and Rehab.
He was born Oct. 14, 1945 in De Queen, Ark. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a Baptist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golf and travel.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, IE “Buddy” and Opal D. Osborn Hobbs.
He is survived by one daughter, Kristi Henson of North Carolina; two sons, Buddy Hobbs and Joe Hobbs both of Hot Springs Village; two sisters, Judy Walston and Phil of Dierks, Ark., and Jane Nicols and Junior of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Dylan Henson and wife, Jessica, Nicholas Blanche and Tyler Hobbs and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mr. Hobbs will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2023, at Allen Cemetery in Dierks with Chuck Reel officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
