Joy Mae Slatton Brock, age 91, went to her heavenly home March 24, 2023. She was born May 1, 1931, to Frank and Lala Henderson Slatton.
She belonged to the First Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Brock, one grandson, four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Hudman of Blevins, Linda Thomas of Jonesboro, Nancy Watts and husband Randle of Pisgah and Bonnie Cox and husband Garry of Murfreesboro; one sister-in-law Kitty Slatton of Conway; seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She loved tending to her flowers, the hummingbirds and her pride and joy — her cat Kitty.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in the Latimer Funeral Chapel in Murfreesboro with Leon McKinnon officiating. Interment will follow in Delight Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
