Nancy Geraldine McClellan, 81, of Little Rock, Ark., born Nov. 16, 1941, in Dierks, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023. Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Beane and Jennie Hallman; and brother, Brant Beane. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Richard C. McClellan; daughter, Crista Byers Keesling of Punta Gorda, Fla.; stepdaughters, Imogen (Ray) McClellan of San Antonio, Texas and Nicola (Uwe) McClellan, of Bad Neuheim, Germany; grandsons, Kason (Chrystal) Keesling of Hillsboro, Ky., and Klayton Keesling of Fort Myers, Fla.; step-granddaughters, Morgan, and Isabella; step-grandson, Max Richard; great-grandchildren, Kody, Kasey, Kristopher, Kennedy, Karly, Korbin, Kolton, and Kade; great-great-granddaughter, Layla; niece, Brandy Beane; cousins, and friends.
She retired from the U.S. Defense Finance and Accounting Service, where she received a Tiger Team Award and Acknowledgment of Contributions-Indianapolis Center. She also worked for Housing and Urban Development in Fort Worth/Houston, Texas. Nancy then worked several years in Germany and England before moving to and retiring in Lawton, Oa., with her husband in April 2002. She loved working crossword puzzles, gardening, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Visitation was Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at the Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct, Little Rock, AR (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd, 501-224-2200).
Graveside services were Sat, Jan 21, 2023, at Ivy Chapel Cemetery in Ironton, AR with Rev. James Morris officiating, and pallbearers James K. McClellan, Jr., Eric Tanner, Phillip Taylor, and Stacy Taylor. Nancy McClellan’s online guestbook may be signed at www.smithfamilycares.com.
