The Pike County Sheriff’s Department now has its newest deputy on the force, Dugo, the Belgian Malinois.

Sheriff Travis Hill said that the dog will be an “all purpose dog,” meaning he has the ability for commanded attack, scent-tracking in emergency situations and drug-presence identification. Dugo is pictured with handler Deputy Chris Gates. Hill said that the PCSD “would like to thank everyone who participated [via donations] in the purchase of Dugo.”
