Elizabeth Ann Pennington Hood, age 78 of Nashville, Ark.,, went to her Eternal Home on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, in the early hours. She was born to the late Walter Pennington and Nina Cate Hutton in Walnut Ridge, Ark., on March 23, 1944.
Ann was a retired Customer Service Representative for Farm Credit in Nashville. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Nashville. She loved playing golf and loved reading a good book. Ann had been a loving caretaker for her mother and her son.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her son, Jeff Hood.
On Aug. 26, 1964, Ann married the love of her life, Jim Hood, and shared more than 58 years with him.
She leaves behind two children, Marti and husband Sid Steel of Bryant, Ark., and Jimmy and wife Candy Hood of Nashville, Ark.
Five grandchildren that she had spoiled, Rusty and wife Claire Steel, Alex and wife Lauren Hood, Regan and husband Steven Wakefield, Braden Hood, and Avery Hood.
Six Great-Grandchildren, Jasmen Wakefield, Grayson Hood, Steel Wakefield, Sydney Steel, Jetty Steel, and Julia Hood.
A large host of friends as well share her memory.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Nashville Funeral home with Joe Kelley and Kevin Sartin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 at the funeral home on Wednesday as well.
The family asks that memorials may be made to 1st Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
