Members of the New Horizon EHC Club learned a new skill and then used that skill to make lap robes and hand-warmers for hospice patients.

Gladine Bennett, president of the club, taught other members Martha Armstrong, Mary Haney, Lillian Hutchinson, and Pearlie Snell basic crochet stitches. The group made over 20 items to benefit local Hospice patients.

The group has been working on the projects for approximately four months.

If you are interested in learning more about Extension Homemakers or how to join, contact the Howard County Extension Office at 870-845-7517. If there is not a club in your area, we will be glad to work with you to organize a group. Pictured are (from left) Haney, Snell, Armstrong, Bennett and Lillian Hutchinson.
